Origin Story
My inspiration for Abide began long before I imagined it would become a business. It started with an herbal medicine course, where I fell in love with plants—their intelligence, subtle power, and ability to support the body in quiet, profound ways. That experience reshaped my understanding of healing from something you fix into something you cultivate slowly, with presence and care.
Later, as a licensed esthetician, I realized that caring for the skin is one of the most powerful and practical ways to support overall wellbeing. Skin holds our stories—it reflects our stress, environment, and the pace of our lives. Working with clients to restore balance and reconnect with their natural radiance felt like helping them return to themselves. I knew I wanted to create a space where women could feel supported in that process.
The name Abide came to me as a reflection of the kind of beauty I believe in. I chose the word because it implies a slow and voluntary agreement to stay the course with something—to stay present, to stay in relationship, to stay committed to what nourishes you. To abide is to choose steadiness over urgency, devotion over consumption. It is a word that carries softness and strength, a promise to honor the practices that create meaning in a life.
Abide was created to bring together plant wisdom, intentional formulations, and a mindful approach to skincare. Through this work, I’ve seen that when women feel nourished and grounded in their skin, something shifts—not only in how they look, but in how they move through the world.
I created Abide to offer that experience—
a place where skincare feels like nourishment,
and where you can come home to yourself.
